Sofie holds a Bachelor’s degree in violin performance from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin and a Master’s degree in violin performance from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois, during which she was a music theory tutor, studio assistant, and music camp counselor. She has been a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and Kalamazoo Symphony, among others, and is currently the Associate Concertmaster of Rogue Valley Symphony and violinist in the Oregon Mozart Players.
 
Sofie believes that music-making is a birthright which everyone deserves to experience.
