Maria graduated from George Fox University with a degree in music liberal arts. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in piano performance, under the instruction of Dr. Brian Hsu. She started teaching at Lassen Piano Studios in September of 2026.

Maria has been playing piano for as long as she can remember, and has had many amazing teachers including Drs Kenn Willson, Juyeon Kang, and Hana Lim. She loves learning new things, and has often found that she learns from students as much as they learn from her.

When she’s not playing piano or teaching, she likes to read, play with dogs, eat great food, and spend time with her husband, Ben.
