Chelsea Wright is a music theorist, harpsichordist, and piano teacher in Eugene, Oregon. She is a Ph.D. candidate in Music Theory with a supporting area of study in Harpsichord Performance at the University of Oregon and holds degrees from the University of Colorado-Boulder and Sarah Lawrence College. Chelsea has performed as a recitalist and with university baroque ensembles in Eugene, Boulder, and Bronxville, NY. She has premiered harpsichord works by Eugene composers and is especially interested in music composed by women.
Chelsea believes in cultivating the whole musician in her students through playing, singing, improvising, and other forms of creative music-making. She loves guiding students of all ages on their musical journeys and supporting them through the joys and challenges of the art.
In her spare time, Chelsea is an avid reader, knitter, and cat-mom to tabby Jasper. She is thrilled to be joining the Lassen Piano Studio.
